Responsibilities
- Integrated and deployed the core DJI Cloud API backend to establish secure, bidirectional communication between remote drone fleets and servers.
- Built a web-based remote control interface featuring live video streaming, immediate command dispatch, and semi-automated pilot tasking workflows.
- Designed full-lifecycle mission planning features for 2D orthomosaic and 3D aerial mapping, handling waypoint generation and perimeter validation.
Key Actions & Decisions
- Architected a real-time telemetry ingestion system using MQTT over WebSockets to process high-throughput live streams with robust state-tracking and retry mechanisms.
- Integrated MinIO object storage into the pipeline for automatic ingestion and storage of multi-spectral drone imagery.
- Leveraged geospatial visualization frameworks to display live drone telemetry and automated Area of Interest (AOI) boundaries dynamically.
Result
Delivered a reliable, ultra-low-latency control center capable of managing multiple concurrent autonomous missions, reducing pilot overhead and validating safety parameters before flight execution.
