Responsibilities
- Owned end-to-end feature development including research, backend, frontend, deployment, and monitoring.
- Engineered low-latency communication channels using WebRTC and WebSockets for critical, real-time environments.
- Deployed and demonstrated production-ready systems to EU stakeholders during a live disaster simulation in Savona, Italy.
Key Actions & Decisions
- Architected a peer-to-peer infrastructure utilizing WebRTC mesh networks and fallback WebSockets to guarantee real-time video, chat, and text feeds under high-concurrency constraints.
- Integrated OpenStreetMap layers with live data feeds for millisecond-accurate geolocation tracking and visual state updates for field personnel.
- Implemented React-Virtualised to maintain smooth 60FPS rendering while handling thousands of rapid incoming medical triage updates.
Result
Validated in a full-scale EU civil protection field exercise in Savona, Italy; zero-drop data synchronization and ultra-low latency confirmed across interconnected first-responder teams.
